Climate Patshala was conceived in 2019 by Mumbai based environmental activist Rishi Aggarwal.
The trigger or impulse was the overboard and excessive interest in India then in Fridays for Future movement and Extinction Rebellion. While key local issues causing clear environmental degradation were going unattended a lot of people were jumping straight to climate action and global action.
The website is an attempt to provide thought provoking commentary beyond the usual climate narratives.
